@ Sunnyside is family centered & COMMUNITY GATHERING focused!
A registered parent/guardian must remain on-site for the entire duration their child/family is utilizing the HUB
During a scheduled experience a parent may choose to attend the experience with their child OR drop off & pick up their child, while remaining on-site.
Parents are welcome to bring a coffee, work or lounge inside the 'Board Game Cafe', explore the latest collection in the library, practice your pickleball in the gym or walk the serene trails/property/waterfront!
VILLAGE FOCUS
To foster a passionate community rooted in excellence, innovation & wonder - ALL families MUST lead/assist in
1 - 90 MINUTE BLOCK CLASS
per month
Families are able to volunteer for a choice of subject based on family skill/interest OR Homeschooling From The Lake will provide subject and full lesson plans
If your family is unable or wishes not to participate, a $50 monthly family opt-out fee will occur to replace your block with a hired educator
HUB FACILITIES
Providing families a retreat from the distractions of today's world at Central Alberta's waterfront Homeschool Hub right on Sylvan Lake!
Sunnyside Christian Retreat Centre has been operating since 1975!
Now home to our Homeschool Hub registered families can immerse themselves in the serene trails and waterfront lake/beach access!
Explore the basketball & volleyball courts, rope wall, tetherball, gaga ball, playground, Board Game Café, Library, work out gym, pool table, outdoor nature exploration, children's nursery (ages 4 and under), open GYM court and so much more!

FAMILY FUN
During HUB hours families may choose to attend the scheduled experience or explore the grounds as a family.
